Prayer of Consolation

Lord God,

You know my heart better than anyone.

You know the pain I carry, the silent struggles

and the weariness that I often cannot express.

Today I place myself before You seeking comfort.

Embrace me with Your presence,

bring peace to my soul and rest to my heart.

When my strength fails, sustain me.

When hope seems distant, remind me of Your faithful love.

Heal the invisible wounds, renew my faith

and guide me with Your light, even in the midst of darkness.

May I find safety in You, trust in Your care

and comfort in the certainty that I am not alone.

In You I rest.

Lord God,

In this moment of profound sorrow for the loss of a loved one,

I stand before You with a wounded heart,

marked by longing, silence, and the absence

of the one we loved so much.

You know every tear shed,

every memory that tightens the chest,

and every question that arises in this time of mourning.

Nothing is hidden from You, Lord,
